Why I'm writing this in 2025

There are a lot of reasons not to broadcast my thoughts.
Especially in 2025, when there's more shitty and hateful content floating around than ever... so much stuff online feels either damaging or devoid of any real conviction, and I'm hesitant to contribute to the noise.
The few thoughts I do think are worth sharing are about politics and my burgeoning sense of class consciousness—topics that are outside my areas of expertise, but that are deeply personal and impactful.
I don’t know much. What I do know is that I’m not okay with where things stand—like most Americans, I’m afraid of what the future might hold.
I’m on a journey to understand why things are the way they are, and I’m using this site to share what I learn (and unlearn) along the way.
Sometimes that will look like sharing my notes from reading through books. Sometimes it will be political commentary based on my lived experience. And occasionally it'll be condensed political education content that I’ve gathered from people much smarter than myself.
Whatever the case, I’ll try my best to share good shit and not waste your time.
My politics are rooted in empathy and hope for the future—I believe a better world for all people is actually possible, but that there's nothing inevitable about progress. We have to fight for that shit.
As I learn about how to help get us there, I hope you'll come along for the journey. I may not have a ton of answers, but I'm committed to finding them, and sharing what I learn along the way. More soon. ✌🏼
